Vacancy – Doctors in Secondary Schools program

01 June 2026

Are you passionate about adolescent health and motivated to make a real impact in the lives of young people in the community?

Eastern Melbourne PHN is seeking a Primary Care Service Provider (PCSP) to deliver the Doctors in Secondary Schools (DiSS) program at Melba College, commencing in Term 3 (13 July 2026).

The DiSS program plays a vital role in improving access to primary healthcare for secondary school students who may otherwise face significant barriers to seeing a GP.

By providing on‑site, youth‑friendly care, the program supports early intervention, timely treatment, and improved long‑term health outcomes. Funded by the Department of Education, DiSS ensures young people can receive confidential health advice, support, and treatment where they feel safe and supported.

DiSS clinic operating model: The clinic operates one day per week (preferred day Tuesday), with a GP providing 4 hours of care and a practice nurse (EN or RN) delivering a full 7.6‑hour day on site. Care is delivered from a purpose‑built facility on school grounds, and all appointments are bulk billed, removing financial barriers for students and families.

If your practice is committed to supporting adolescent wellbeing and strengthening community health, we encourage you to get involved.
