Eastern Melbourne Primary Health Network (EMPHN) is primarily funded by the Australian Government to improve the care and support people receive from health services. We facilitate health system improvements for people in eastern and north-eastern Melbourne.

Our benefits include:
- Additional Bonus leave
- Full-time employees receive 2 paid work-life balance leave days per calendar year (pro-rated for part time)
- Three additional days of paid leave for the Christmas period
- Parental Leave
- All full time and part time employees are entitled to thirteen weeks of paid parental leave after 6 months of continuous service which may be taken flexibly across two years
- Long Service Leave
- Employees accrue Long Service Leave at a rate of one week per year of service, which may be accessed after seven years of service
- Purchased Leave
- All full time and part time employees may purchase additional annual leave
- First Peoples Cultural Leave
- First Nations employees receive up to 5 days of paid leave for cultural obligations and 5 days of paid leave for “Sorry Business”
- A further 10 days of unpaid leave is also available to First Nations people where paid leave is utilised
- Gender Affirmation Leave
- Employees undergoing gender transformation procedures are entitled to access 2 weeks of paid leave and up to 20 weeks unpaid leave, supported by medical documentation
- Family and Domestic Leave
- All employees are entitled to 10 days of paid leave for domestic violence matters, with an additional 5 days of unpaid leave available
- Study Leave
- Employees can access up to one day of paid leave per year per subject for a course of study relevant to their work
- Courses can include undergraduate or postgraduate degrees, TAFE certificates or diplomas, or shorter-term courses
- Employees can also access paid study leave to attend examinations for the approved courses of study
