WiseCrowd is a group of people from the community established by EMPHN, aimed at improving health and wellbeing in east and north-east Melbourne.
Participate as much or as little as you like and be compensated for your time.

What’s involved?
By joining WiseCrowd, you can have your say on the future of health services in your area. We believe that health care can be improved, but we need to hear from community members who use them most. WiseCrowd members can engage in activities like:
- Surveys
- Virtual discussions
- In-person or online workshops
- Get involved in committees and working groups
By being a WiseCrowd member, you can meet like-minded people from the community and help us plan, design, or evaluate health services to ensure our programs deliver outcomes for the community.
Who can join?
You can join WiseCrowd if you:
- Are 18 years of age or older
- Live or work in the east or north-east of Melbourne
- Are interested in having a say about improving health and wellbeing in the community
At EMPHN, we promote and embrace inclusive and diverse representation from across our community. EMPHN is committed to providing safe, culturally appropriate, and inclusive services for all people, regardless of ethnicity, faith, disability, sexuality, gender identity or health status.
We welcome and invite:
- People of all abilities
- Our First Nation Peoples
- People from the migrant and refugee community
- People from the LGBTQIA+ community
- People from a mix of genders
WiseCrowd is open to people with living or lived experience of the health system and to those who have dedicated their careers to improving community health experiences and outcomes. We welcome health professionals from all practices, including (but not limited to):
- General practitioners (private and community)
- Practice, hospital, aged care or community nurses
- Community, accredited or hospital pharmacists
- Allied health providers, such as physiotherapists, osteopaths, occupational therapists and others
- Aged care workers and assistants
- Paramedics or ambulance workers
- Specialists
