Family Focus Program – Providing support to Families in Melbourne’s East and North-East

The Family Focus Program, funded by the Eastern Melbourne Primary Health Network (EMPHN), provides support to family members, partners, and friends affected by a loved one’s substance use.

Delivered by EACH and ACCESS Health, this community-based initiative empowers families while fostering healthier relationships.

Key Features:

Support for Families and Friends

  • Assists those affected by a loved one’s substance use, including family, partners, and friends.
  • Addresses emotional, mental, and practical challenges faced by loved ones while supporting the well-being of the individual with substance use issues.

Individual and Family Support

  • One-on-One Support: Tailored counselling sessions for private, personalised guidance.
  • Family Sessions: Group support for families or friends to share experiences and find collective solutions.

Education and Resources

  • Provides insights into substance use, its effects, and strategies for coping and supporting recovery.
