A new way to earn Measuring Outcomes CPD Hours
This mini audit is part of the Clinical Insights Pilot Program which is designed in partnership with EMPHN, Monash University and Outcome Health.
This activity focuses on improving secondary cardiovascular disease prevention through evidence-based guidelines. By reviewing audit data, participating GPs will identify gaps in treatment adherence, compare their practices against peers, and implement actionable changes.
Earn 12 CPD Points
CPD Hours for this activity consists of 1 hour educational activities, 6 hours measuring outcomes and 5 hours reviewing performance.

Learning outcomes
1 | Recognise patients at high risk of secondary cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events requiring ongoing management. |
2 | Identify ischaemic stroke/TIA patients who have not received guideline-recommended secondary CVD treatments within the 12 months. |
3 | Define risk factors for secondary CVD and develop strategies to improve their recording in clinical systems. |
4 | Compare audit data against peers to identify areas needing improvement in adherence to guidelines. |
