The Department of Health, Disability and Ageing is modernising the Assignment of Medicare Benefits process for bulk billed services, with changes commencing on 01 July 2026. 

To support readiness for Practice Managers and their teams, the Department is holding a virtual information session on Tuesday 12 May 2026, from 1:00PM – 2:00PM AEST, to provide an opportunity for any questions and share the latest information available.
