Free webinar for practice managers, GPs, PHNs and primary care stakeholders

The RACGP has released the Standards for general practices (6th edition), providing a contemporary framework to support safe, high-quality and continuously improving patient care. The sixth edition builds on the existing Standards, introducing important updates across clinical governance, patient participation, workforce wellbeing, digital health, artificial intelligence (AI), environmental sustainability and continuous quality improvement.

Hosted by Praxhub, in partnership with the RACGP, you’re invited to join this practical webinar for an overview of the 6th edition of the RACGP Standards for general practices, delivered by the College’s own experts.

It explains what is familiar from the 5th edition, how the Standards are now structured, and what is new or updated across the Foundations of general practice, Clinical governance (including infection prevention and control), Patient participation, and Continuous quality improvement standards.

The live Q&A lets practices put questions directly to the committee.

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Explain the structure of the 6th edition Standards and identify which requirements carry over from the 5th edition.
  2. Describe the new and updated requirements in the 6th edition Standards.
  3. Identify practical steps a practice can take now to become familiar with the 6th edition.

The workshop will be facilitated by an experienced IAR Training and Support Officer (TSO) from the National TSO Network. The session teaches you how to use the IAR-DST, not how to conduct an assessment. The IAR-DST is not an assessment tool; it is a decision aid.
