Youth Northern Outreach Team (YNOT) supporting young people

20 January 2025

What does YNOT do?

The YNOT program provides personalised, confidential outreach counselling, support, education, and referrals for young people who are experiencing alcohol and other drug related concerns (including vaping), through a harm minimisation approach.

YNOT can work with young people on a one-off or ongoing basis depending on their goals and needs.

Who do YNOT work with?

YNOT works with young people aged 12-25 who live in or have a connection to the Whittlesea area.

YNOT works with schools and local services to provide secondary consultations and capacity building activities to collectively address drug and alcohol concerns in the local community.

Where are YNOT based?

YNOT is an outreach program that meets young people where they’re at – literally! YNOT can see young people in the community, at school, at home or anywhere where they’re most comfortable (including virtually).

How can young people access YNOT support?

Young people can self-refer by completing the referral form, or you can support them by completing the referral form with/for them – https://forms.office.com/r/Mh554LSyXU

After the referral is received, a YNOT intake worker will be in touch to discuss the program, learn more about what is going on and how YNOT can help.

How can schools and agencies contact YNOT?

Please contact the youth outreach team at Youth Projects at: yotstaff@youthprojects.org.au
