Primary Health Networks (PHNs) play an important role in supporting health emergency preparedness, planning and coordination across primary care. This includes helping primary care services remain accessible, coordinated and responsive during emergencies, natural disasters and other significant disruptions.
EMPHN is currently developing an Emergency Management Framework and supporting Emergency Response Plan. This work aims to establish practical, clear and consistent arrangements for how EMPHN prepares for, responds to and supports recovery from emergencies and significant disruptions across our region.
An important part of this process is hearing from those who work across the health. As such, we encourage responses from the following who work across, general practice, pharmacy, allied health services, community health services, and Aboriginal health services:
- General practitioners
- Practice managers
- Practice owners
- Nurses
- Allied health clinicians
- Pharmacists
- Executives and directors
- Administrative staff
Whether you are involved in frontline care, practice operations, leadership or service coordination, your insights will help shape a practical emergency management framework and response plan for our region.
