MyMedicare and GPACI in PRODA

09 December 2024

To help your practice navigate updates and requirements for MyMedicare and the General Practice Aged Care Incentive (GPACI) within PRODA, we’ve outlined key tips and resources. From registration details to software integration and accreditation updates, these steps ensure your practice stays compliant and efficient.

Tip 1: Please be advised that when a practice registers for MyMedicare it does NOT automatically register a clinic for the GPACI. This needs to be added as a separate program from the dropdown list on PRODA.

Tip 2: If your practice would like some more information on the GPACI Payments there is a new module from Services Australia located here MyMedicare- General Practice in Aged Care Incentive Payments and Correspondence

Tip 3: It is worth noting that when you register a patient for MyMedicare it does not automatically appear in your clinical software (MD/BP) someone in the practice will still need to manually enter in/tick the box the individual patient is registered for MyMedicare.

Tip 4: If you haven’t updated MyMedicare with the new Client ID that came out from AGPAL and QPA have been recently accredited or re-accredited don’t forget to go into PRODA > HPOS>Services> Select clinic> Select Organisation site> Select Site record> Accreditation tab> Update accreditation date/ client ID number as needed

Tip 5: Services Australia has updated the resources available on the Health Professionals Education site to reflect these upcoming changes for accredited practices:
