Help us understand training needs for general practice

17 March 2025

The demand for general practitioners continues to evolve, and understanding workforce needs is essential to ensuring communities receive the healthcare they need.

The Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care, RACGP and ACRRM rely on workforce data to target registrar distribution and guide investments in training capacity.

To support this effort, we invite you to share your insights by completing our GP Workforce Planning and Prioritisation Stakeholder survey.

This survey is designed to capture local knowledge on specific needs and circumstances of communities, providing a clearer picture of general practice needs across local areas.

By participating in this survey and sharing your experiences, you’ll contribute valuable information to the PHN Workforce Need and Training Capacity Report (WNTCR) 2025 for Victoria.

This report plays a key role in shaping future GP placements and training opportunities, ensuring that resources are directed where they are needed most.

Your participation is voluntary and anonymous, and the survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete.

Your insights will help build a stronger, more sustainable general practice workforce.
