HealthPathways Melbourne paediatric ENT suite now live

New statewide referral criteria for an additional seven children’s ear, nose and throat (ENT) conditions come into effect from 1 November 2025 in all Victorian public hospitals.

Patients can be placed on a specialist clinic wait list when a referring GP provides information that meets the new requirements. The patient will then be directed to the best service available.

• Acute Paediatric ENT Referral (Same-day)   
• Ear Discharge in Children  
• Epistaxis in Children  
• Hearing Impairment in Children  
• Hoarse Voice (Dysphonia)  
• Neck Lumps in Children   
• Non-acute Paediatric ENT Referral (> 24 hours)  
• Otitis Media with Effusion (Glue Ear) in Children  
• Snoring and Obstructive Sleep Apnoea in Children  
• Sore Throat in Children
