Head to Health phone service rebrands to Medicare Mental Health

27 March 2025

The Australian Government has changed the name of the ‘Head to Health’ phone service and website to ‘Medicare Mental Health’ to better support service uptake and align with other trusted services funded by the Government.

What are the changes to Health to Health services?

  • The national Head to Health Phone Service will be called ‘Medicare Mental Health’ (1800 595 212).
  • The Head to Health website is now www.medicarementalhealth.gov.au.

Only the name of the service has changed. There will be no changes to the free, comprehensive and confidential services provided through the Medicare Mental Health phone service.
