Have your say – Palliative Care Needs Assessment

11 November 2025

Eastern Melbourne PHN (EMPHN) has engaged Scyne Advisory to support the delivery of a Palliative Care Needs Assessment (PCNA) as part of the Greater Choices for At Home Palliative Care (GCfAHPC) Program.

This assessment will help shape priorities and work planning for EMPHN in how we support system integration and workforce development to improve access to high-quality, person-centred palliative and end-of-life care across the EMPHN.

To complete this assessment, Scyne is seeking input from key palliative care stakeholders in the region. We are interested in your perspectives on services within the EMPHN catchment, your experiences with other providers, opportunities for improvement and any barriers to knowledge, capability, access, and coordination. If you have relevant data, such as service use and demand, or other palliative care information, it would be greatly appreciated.

Scyne with EMPHN will be hosting virtual group consultations between 20 November and 28 November and will run for one hour. Scyne can be flexible with timing, including before or after standard working hours (9 – 5pm) if that suits you better.

Please reply directly to Maddie at Scyne (Maddie.elsley@scyne.com.au) to register your interest, and they will then coordinate and send through diary invitations, and the agenda that will guide conversations. All conversations collected will be confidential, and no personal information or details will be collected.

‘If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Maddie at Scyne or EMPHN at palliativecare@emphn.org.au directly.

We greatly appreciate your interest in participating in consultations with EMPHN and Scyne.
