EMPHN General Practice Engagement Survey – Thank you and congratulations to the prize draw winners

08 April 2026

Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete EMPHN’s General Practice Engagement Survey, which closed earlier this year. We greatly appreciate all who participated in sharing your experiences and perspectives.

Your feedback plays a big role in helping us better understand what’s happening day-to-day in general practice across eastern and north‑eastern Melbourne. The insights gathered from the survey will help us identify challenges, close gaps and create better opportunities for practices across our catchment. We’re currently reviewing the survey insights and working through next steps to make sure future support, initiatives and engagement are shaped by what you’ve told us.

As a thank you for taking part, all survey respondents went into the draw to win one of three Apple Watch Series 10 valued at $650. The draw has now been completed, and the winners of the three Apple Watches have been notified. Congratulations to our winners. Read on for their thoughts on why they completed the survey and what they hope it will achieve.

The winners are:

  • Practice Manager winner: Angela Bampton | Practice Manager, Kerrie Road Family Medical Centre
  • General Practitioner winner: Dr David Ta | General Practitioner, Nunawading Clinic
  • Practice Nurse winner: Ashley Smart | Practice Nurse, The Local Doctor Diamond Creek

As a practice manager, and the only one in the role at the clinic, it’s vital to have support with information you don’t always know. EMPHN has always come through with more than enough valuable information on every topic I need help with. Thank you EMPHN for the opportunity to provide insights via the survey, and for the Apple Watch.

Angela Bampton, Kerrie Road Family Medical Centre

I completed the survey as an opportunity to get involved and share GP insights and perspective. I have a strong interest in aged care and would like to see easier connections between general practice, aged care and geriatricians. Multidisciplinary care is essential, and EMPHN plays an important role as a connector to help facilitate this.

Dr David Ta, Nunawading Clinic

I recently moved from hospital nursing into general practice in December and saw the survey promoted in the Primary Care Bulletin. I enjoy completing surveys and didn’t realise there was an Apple Watch up for grabs! I’m thankful for the support and assistance EMPHN provides to nurses and hope to attend future EMPHN Practice Nurse education.

Ashley Smart, The Local Doctor Diamond Creek

Thank you once again to all who completed the survey and for helping us build a more connected and responsive primary health system.
