What is a Health Needs Assessment?
We are committed to continually improving primary health care for all communities in our region. As part of this commitment, we regularly undertake evidence-based assessments to investigate the health challenges facing communities.
We make sure communities feel heard and considered and use these findings to inform our understanding of local needs and priorities.
We undertake HNAs to:
- Understand the health-related issues of the population across the region
- Identify key primary healthcare issues and priorities
- Target resource allocation to improve health
- Reduce health inequities across the population in both regions
