Wicklow Avenue Medical Centre is a privately owned accredited medical practice. We have been providing quality health care for families in Croydon and surrounding suburbs since 1921. We are situated in central Croydon, close to public transport and amenities, with a wide demographic and nationalities.

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic RN to join our nursing team on a full-time basis. The successful applicant will need to show their enthusiasm for working in a team that prides itself on being passionate about making a difference in the lives of our patients. respecting each other, and strong communication.

Essential Role Requirements:
– Provide clinical oversight and ensure high standard of patient care within the practice
– Conduct patient assessments to improve health outcomes
– Chronic Disease Management and Health Assessments
– Triage, immunisations and other injections
– Wound management, both simple and complex
– Assist doctors with clinical procedures and maintain clinical documentation
– Demonstrated knowledge of, and a commitment to Quality Improvement, and Risk Management
– Primary responsibility for co-ordination of Infection Control Standards and Cold Chain Management
– Co-ordinate the practice urgent and non-urgent heath recalls and health promotion reminders
– Assist with IUD insertion and removal, including setup and monitoring patient during and post procedure
– Iron Infusions

About You:
– Well presented with a welcoming, warm, confident and caring manner
– Minimum of 3 year’s experience in general practice
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing practices and procedures in general practice
– Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
– Commitment to providing high quality, patient centred care
– Strong organisation and time management skills, and the capacity to take initiative
– High ethical standards
– Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
– Knowledge of Best Practice clinical software
– Ability to follow instructions
– Calm under pressure
– An eye for detail to be accurate
– Completion of tasks

Other Essential Requirements:
– Current Division 1 Nurse Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
– Current AHPRA Registration
– Current Professional Indemnity Insurance
– First Aid and CPR/Anaphylaxis Certificate
– Current and Valid Police check
– Cold Chain Certificate
