Practice Nurse, HealthAbove Medical Clinic

HealthAbove Medical Centre is a mixed billing, GP owned practice situated in the heart of Nunawading, next to McDonald’s, KFC and Nunawading Home Maker HQ.

With plenty of parking and with pathology and allied health onsite.

Opening hours: Monday to Friday – 8am to 6pm, and Saturday – 9am to 2 pm.

The position requires a Div 1 nurse who can work full or part-time and perform the following tasks:

• Triaging and patient care
• Chronic disease management
• Patient education
• Managing wound care and helping with procedures
• Health assessments, diabetic assessments
• ECG
• Immunisations, travel and childhood
• Maintaining recall and reminder system
• Cold chain management
• Stock management and equipment monitoring

Requirements:

• Recent general practice nursing experience is preferable.
• Must have excellent oral and written English skills. (It is an advantage if they can speak Mandarin or Cantonese).
• IT skills: must be proficient in using computers and know how to use Best Practice or a similar software.
• Flexibility: must be flexible to cover shifts as needed (support weekend roster, sick leave and annual leave).
• This practice is looking for local workers who are honest, compassionate, and diligent and must have excellent people skills.
