Practice Nurse, Commercial Rd Medical Centre

Commercial Road Medical Centre is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our general practice team on a casual basis.

We are looking for someone with previous general practice experience who can confidently manage routine treatment-room duties, prioritise patient needs and work collaboratively with our GPs, nurses and reception team.

• Provide patient-centred nursing care within your scope of practice.

• Perform wound care, dressings and suture removal.

• Administer vaccinations and medications in accordance with qualifications, authorisation and practice protocols.

• Support vaccine management, cold-chain monitoring and infection prevention.

• Conduct health assessments and assist with chronic condition management and preventive care.

• Perform clinical observations, ECGs and other procedures within demonstrated competency. • Assist GPs with minor procedures.

• Maintain accurate clinical records and support patient recalls and reminders.

• Monitor treatment-room supplies, equipment and emergency stock.

Essential requirements

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.

• Previous nursing experience in Australian general practice.

• Confidence and competence in core treatment-room duties.

• Sound clinical judgement, including recognising and escalating concerns.

• Strong communication, organisation and time-management skills.

• A reliable, respectful and collaborative approach.

• Current CPR certification and Australian working rights.

Desirable

• Accredited nurse immuniser qualification.

• Familiarity with general practice clinical software.

• Experience in health assessments, chronic condition management or spirometry.
