Culture of learning and improvement | Partner in care at a leading health service
We are seeking an enthusiastic and capable general practitioner to join our GP clinic team in providing excellent care in a primary health care setting, working as both a general practitioner and as the clinic medical lead to facilitate delivering high quality care to our local community.
Eastern Health is one of Melbourne’s largest public health services. We provide a range of emergency, surgical, medical and general healthcare services, including maternity, palliative care, mental health, drug and alcohol, residential care, community health and state-wide specialist services to people and communities that are diverse in culture, age, socio-economic status, population and healthcare needs.
About the role:
Eastern Health’s GP Clinic is located at our Healesville Hospital and Yarra Valley Health campus. The clinic is overseen by the Care@Home Program as part of the Clinical Operations Directorate at Eastern Health. It operates as a fully bulk billing general practice clinic offering a range of primary care services to a large catchment of patients in the outer eastern suburbs. The clinic has a focus on providing care to vulnerable people residing in the local community, as well as providing an afterhours service for more urgent clinical care that can be provided in a general practice setting. The clinic operates during normal business hours, as well as after hours on weeknights, weekends and public holidays. This position will be responsible for provision of clinical care as a general practitioner within the clinic (including both business and after hours work) and as the medical lead within the clinic. The medical lead will be required to work closely on site with the clinic manager to facilitate delivery of the service.
You will be joining a group of friendly and committed general practitioners based at Healesville Hospital.
Applicants are invited to apply for all or parts of this position.
