An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced Finance Manager to join the Corporate Services team at Eastern Health Primary Health Network (EHPHN) on a permanent basis. Reporting directly to the Executive Director – Corporate Services (Manuel), this critical role will act as a true 2IC, leading the finance function and playing a key role in supporting strategic decision-making.
As Finance Manager, you will manage the end-to-end budgeting and forecasting cycle across the organisation. This includes working closely with senior leadership to ensure that financial plans align with strategic objectives and that decision-makers are equipped with timely, accurate, and forward-looking financial insights. You will also act as a strategic partner to cost centre managers, helping them interpret financial data and understand the implications of budget vs. actual performance.
Duties (not limited to)
- Lead financial and management reporting to support business decision-making, ensuring timely and accurate insights for Senior Leaders, Executive Leadership Team, Committees, and the Board.
- Own the budgeting process in collaboration with the Executive Director – Corporate Services, setting the annual timetable and delivering all required reports and presentations.
- Present financial reports and budgets at Executive, Board, and Committee meetings, tailored to the appropriate level of accountability.
- Ensure compliance with statutory reporting, accounting standards, ASIC regulations, and organisational policies.
- Oversee all employee-related financial obligations, including PAYG, superannuation, WorkCover, and FBT.
- Manage external audits, ensuring accurate preparation, review of financial statements, and timely implementation of audit recommendations.
- Oversee the collaboration between the Contact Specialist function and Program(s) function relating to contract management requirements as part of the annual cycle.
About You
- ERP experience (ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Technology One) is desirable.
- CA or CPA qualified with demonstrated experience managing complex budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Proven ability to translate financial data into business insights and drive accountability across non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and support executive and senior leadership.
- Experience in a government-funded, not-for-profit, or commissioning/program delivery environment.
- An experienced manager who enjoys building capability within their team and across the organisation.
