Gippsland PHN together with Mindframe are pleased to bring the federally-funded Mindframe program to the Gippsland region.

Mindframe is a national program supporting safe and non-stigmatising communication about suicide, mental health concerns and alcohol and other drugs (AOD). The training provides practical and evidence-based support to people communicating about these themes.

Online one-hour Mindframe training session on safe public communication about suicide, mental health concerns and alcohol and other drugs (AOD).

Training will cover:

  • A brief overview of the evidence behind the Mindframe program
  • The Mindframe guidelines (in depth)
  • Examples of problematic and preferred communication
  • Information about help seeking and self care
  • Opportunity for Q&A

Intended Learning Outcomes from the Education session:

  • Understand the evidence surrounding suicide, mental health concerns, alcohol and other drug use and media reporting
  • Understand the Mindframe principles
  • Identify content that is consistent with the Mindframe guidelines
  • Create content that aligns with the Mindframe guidelines
