Speaker bio: Mr Filip Cosic, Orthopaedic Surgeon

I am an orthopaedic surgeon with a sub-specialty interest in upper limb (shoulder, elbow, and wrist) and trauma.

I completed my FRACS in 2025 and have undertaken a sub-specialty fellowship in Paris at the Institut de la Main et de l’Epaule (Paris Hand and Shoulder Institute) under the supervision of Dr Philippe Valenti, renowned for his work in shoulder arthroplasty, arthroscopy, tendon transfers, and brachial plexus/thoracic outlet syndrome. I offer comprehensive management of shoulder and elbow pathologies, along with management of common wrist pathology, and both complex and simple trauma of the extremities.

I am passionate about research and providing high quality evidence-based practice, with a background as a clinician researcher currently completing my PhD at Monash University on the topic of operative and non-operative management of proximal humerus fractures. In addition, I have published extensively along with presenting my work at numerous specialty and sub-specialty meetings.
