This education event will be facilitated by the Refugee Health Network of Queensland in partnership with the Brisbane South and Brisbane North PHNs. The event is for General Practitioners and their staff to gain understanding about how to share information about preventative healthcare with their refugee-background patients while addressing cultural and health literacy needs.

  • Tips on how to discuss preventative health care, screening and immunisations
  • Develop an understanding of what makes preventative care feel safe, accessible, and worthwhile from a patient’s perspective
  • Simple strategies for planning catch-up immunisation schedules.
  • Relevant translated resources will be shared with attendees.

A Statement of Attendance will be provided to attendees as documentary evidence to support professional development requirements.

GP members of RACGP, ACRRM and other CPD Homes can self-record this activity via their relevant CPD portal.
