My Health Record in Aged Care

Registering for My Health Record (MHR) in aged care – why and how?

Residential Aged Care Home (RACH) clinicians and staff are invited to attend a free 45-minute webinar on My Health Record in aged care. Presented by the Victorian and Tasmanian PHN Alliance (VTPHNA), on behalf of the Australian Digital Health Agency, this webinar will focus on supporting RACH’s who haven’t registered for the MHR system, or are about to start the registration process.  

Presenters:

Sarah Crowe | Digital Health Manager, Western Victoria PHN.

Previously a Practice Manager working in general practice and allied health, Sarah worked for the Eastern Melbourne PHN in the GP Redesign team and practice support team, looking at how they can improve and strengthen general practice workflows. Sarah now works at the Western Vic PHN where she originally led the Remote Patient Monitoring Program and has since taken on the role of Digital Health Manager, writing a Digital Health Strategy for western Victoria, and supporting primary care to engage with digital health solutions in a meaningful way.

Rebekah Sheahen | Digital Health Coordinator, Primary Health Tasmania.

Rebekah Sheahen is the Digital Health Coordinator at Primary Health Tasmania. Since the launch of My Health Record in 2015, she has worked in close partnership with the Australian Digital Health Agency to support healthcare providers across Tasmania in adopting and using digital health tools, including general practice, allied health, pharmacy, and specialist services.

This session will provide an overview of My Health Record including:

• The benefits of implementing MHR and its core features
• MHR registration steps
• Key resources and support.

Audience: Residential aged care home staff and GP’s that work with residential aged care homes.
