Dr Roni Ratner is a specialist gynaecologist who has undertaken an additional two years of training to provide expert care in minimally invasive surgery (laparoscopy or key-hole) for women who suffer from severe endometriosis, fibroids and menstrual disorders as well as other general gynaecological conditions.

As a result, Dr Ratner is one of only a few surgeons who can perform single incision hysterectomy and myomectomy. Dr Ratner is a passionate advocate for women’s health and believe in empowering and supporting women to make informed decisions about their own health.

Learning outcomes

  • Apply current evidence to the diagnosis and management of endometriosis and adenomyosis in primary care, including when to initiate hormonal therapy and when to refer.
  • Identify and confidently address common patient-facing myths and social media misinformation about endometriosis during clinical consultations.
  • Explain why hormonal therapy is the preferred first-line approach for superficial peritoneal endometriosis, and understand the limitations of surgical treatment in this context.
