When Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is managed well, it means a better quality of life, fewer symptoms, and lower risk of hospitalisation. While there is no cure for COPD, well-managed COPD is possible through a combination of evidence-based, patient-centred care.

The recently launched COPD Clinical Care Standard will address current gaps in clinical practice, providing a pathway of quality care for COPD management in community and acute settings, and the transitions of care between them.

Working with the COPD Clinical Care Standard, the new COPD-X Handbook offers practical tips and advice for delivering evidence-based care for people living with COPD in a user-friendly, point-of-care summary format. So, how does your practice measure up?

Ask Lung Foundation Australia expert panel your questions at registration or live during the Q&A session. The session will be available on-demand from the following day, please register now for access to the recording. Lung Foundation Australia’s World COPD Day initiatives are proudly sponsored by Sanofi Pasteur, GlaxoSmithKline and Chiesi. This event is accredited for one Education Activities Hour with RACGP and ACRRM.

  • Discuss the guideline-recommended approach to diagnosis and management of COPD
  • Identify support pathways and resources for best-practice management of COPD in Australia
