This webinar will equip GPs, GP registrars, practice nurses, practice managers and other general practice staff with practical strategies and resources to ensure timely follow-up of cervical and bowel screening results in primary care.

Hosted by Murray PHN in collaboration with the Australian Centre for the Prevention of Cervical Cancer, Cancer Council Victoria and the Victorian and Tasmanian PHN Alliance.

Learning outcomes:

  1. Describe appropriate follow-up pathways for patients with abnormal cervical screening results
  2. Discuss best practice preparation for cervical screening follow-up procedures including LBC and colposcopy
  3. Describe the purpose of the participant follow-up function for bowel screening
  4. Describe the role of primary care in supporting timely follow up for bowel screening participants
  5. Identify opportunities to streamline cancer screening follow-up processes within the general practice setting
