This is the fifth webinar in the “Wellbeing Matters: Supporting Young People Living with Diabetes” series, where we are exploring topics designed to inform, inspire, and spark meaningful discussion.
The series is delivered as part of the INSPIRE youth type 2 diabetes (YT2D) study, led by A/Prof Renae Kirkham at the DIABETES across the LIFECOURSE: Northern Australia Partnership.
This webinar brings together international perspectives on how wellbeing and mental health can be recognised, prioritised and supported as an integral part of youth diabetes care. Presenters will share their experiences, approaches and practical strategies for embedding psychosocial care into everyday diabetes management, offering insights into what works across different healthcare settings. The session will explore the common challenges faced by young people living with diabetes, as well as the opportunities to strengthen support in ways that are responsive to their individual needs and contexts.
