Participants will be able to ask questions via the chat function and engage with interactive poll questions. \n\n\n\nThis is an RACGP-approved CPD activity under the RACGP CPD Program. DESCRIPTION:Date\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVenue\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOrganiser\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPeople accessing AOD services often face higher risks of sexually transmissible infections (STIs) and blood-borne viruses (BBVs).  \n\n\n\nNurses and midwives play a vital role in reducing these risks by integrating sexual health into everyday care.  \n\n\n\nPresented in collaboration with ASHM – the peak body representing the BBV and STI workforce in Australia – and the Drug & Alcohol Nurses of Australasia (DANA) this two-part webinar series will provide practical insights\, real-world examples\, and peer perspectives to help you enhance STI and BBV testing\, treatment\, and engagement in AOD settings.  \n\n\n\nLearn about emerging issues\, explore case studies\, and innovative nursing models of care. \n\n\n\nDates: (Participants are welcome to attend either or both sessions) \n\n\n\n\nPart 1: Thursday\, 14 May 2026\n\n\n\nPart 2: Thursday\, 18 June 2026\n\n\n\n\nOn completion of Part 2 and its components\, participants will be able to: \n\n\n\n\nIdentify ways to improve STI and BBV awareness in your setting.\n\n\n\nDescribe models of care that support STI and BBV testing and treatment in AOD settings.\n\n\n\nIdentify practical strategies to engage clients and reduce barriers to care. \n\n\n\n\nCPD & Endorsement: Endorsement is currently pending.
