This practice-wide quality improvement exercise will enable you to identify potential barriers to vaccine uptake and check your performance against evidence-based benchmarks. \n\n\n\nThere are two pathways for this program\, one for GPs\, and one for Practice staff (including practice managers\, practice nurses and other relevant practice staff). Please ensure you select the right program for your position. \n\n\n\nThis education is designed to take place over multiple weeks. It does not need to be completed in one sitting. Presentation slides\, workbook and a CEP Facilitator Manual will be provided. \n\n\n\nLearning outcomes\n\n\n\n\nUnderstand the key concepts and benefits of the CEPs.\n\n\n\nRecognise adult learning principles and facilitation techniques. \n\n\n\nAppreciate the value of effective co-facilitation in delivering CEPs.\n\n\n\nBuild confidence in delivering CEPs using available resources.\n\n\n\nIdentify CEP resources to support recruitment and community outreach​.\n\n\n\n\nAfter completing training\n\n\n\nYou will be endorsed as a Cancer Council Victoria CEP facilitator.​​​ \n\n\n\nFacilitators are supported to deliver CCV CEPs within their health service and receive: \n\n\n\n\nAccess to a fully resourced online portal (program materials\, tools and templates)\n\n\n\nOngoing support including mentoring and debriefing\n\n\n\nMonthly communication and updates\n\n\n\nProfessional development opportunities\, including annual planning workshops\, showcases and masterclasses\n\n\n\n\nThe Cancer Education Programs (CEP) are group-based supportive care and education programs developed for people affected by cancer\, including carers\, families and friends.

SUMMARY:Hepatitis B in Primary Care
DESCRIPTION:Date\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVenue\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOrganiser\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPrimary care practitioners play a crucial role in ensuring improved health outcomes for people with hepatitis B\, through testing\, diagnosis\, informed clinical management and support of individuals and families.  \n\n\n\nIn 2024\, an estimated 227\, 571 people were living with chronic hepatitis B (CHB) in Australia\, with 27.9% undiagnosed and 74.5% were not engaged in regular care (Viral Hepatitis Mapping Project: National Report 2024).   \n\n\n\nGuideline-based management and treatment of CHB can prevent liver cancer\, with CHB being the primary cause of liver cancer worldwide. Primary care practitioners play a critical role in the diagnosis and management of CHB in the community\, and in reducing preventable deaths from liver cancer.   \n\n\n\nPresented by Dr Lester Mascarenhas\, the founder of Utopia Refugee and Asylum Seeker Health\, this webinar will provide participants with crucial knowledge and understanding of hepatitis B and the impact of COVID-19 on patients living with hepatitis B.   \n\n\n\nLearning Outcomes\n\n\n\nOn completion of this course and its components\, participants will be able to:  \n\n\n\n\nIdentify priority populations for hepatitis B testing in Australia \n\n\n\nInterpret hepatitis B serology results. \n\n\n\nDescribe the role of primary care in the testing\, diagnosis and management of patients with hepatitis B in the community.
