DESCRIPTION:Date\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVenue\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOrganiser\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis interactive online course is designed to help health professionals provide best-practice sexual and reproductive healthcare throughout their patient’s life. \n\n\n\nSession one will focus on how to have sexual and reproductive health conversations with young people\, including engagement strategies\, consent\, cultural considerations\, and person-centred approaches.  \n\n\n\nSession two will focus on women in mid-life and beyond\, discussing sexual health through perimenopause\, menopause\, and after illness.  \n\n\n\nKnowledge will be translated into practice to improve sexual and reproductive health care throughout a patient’s life.  \n\n\n\nLearning Outcomes: On completion of this course and its components\, participants will be able to:  \n\n\n\n\nApply person-centred communication strategies to build rapport quickly\, take a sexual history\, and empower young patients within time-limited consultations.\n\n\n\nIdentify priority topics in young people’s sexual health\, consult current clinical guidelines\, and be able to find supplementary resources for deeper clinical detail.\n\n\n\nExplain the physiological changes of perimenopause and menopause and their impact on sexual health and functioning.\n\n\n\nUse structured\, empathetic consultation approaches to open conversations about sexual health with midlife and older women\, including how to make adequate time within primary care settings.\n\n\n\nDiscuss sexual health considerations for women after illness\, particularly cancer survivorship\, covering consent\, relationships\, STI risk\, and safety. \n\n\n\n\nCPD & Endorsement: This activity may be suitable for self-claiming CPD hours with your professional body. DESCRIPTION:Date\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVenue\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOrganiser\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDr Roni Ratner is a specialist gynaecologist who has undertaken an additional two years of training to provide expert care in minimally invasive surgery (laparoscopy or key-hole) for women who suffer from severe endometriosis\, fibroids and menstrual disorders as well as other general gynaecological conditions. \n\n\n\nAs a result\, Dr Ratner is one of only a few surgeons who can perform single incision hysterectomy and myomectomy. Dr Ratner is a passionate advocate for women’s health and believe in empowering and supporting women to make informed decisions about their own health. \n\n\n\nLearning outcomes\n\n\n\n\nApply current evidence to the diagnosis and management of endometriosis and adenomyosis in primary care\, including when to initiate hormonal therapy and when to refer. \n\n\n\nIdentify and confidently address common patient-facing myths and social media misinformation about endometriosis during clinical consultations. \n\n\n\nExplain why hormonal therapy is the preferred first-line approach for superficial peritoneal endometriosis\, and understand the limitations of surgical treatment in this context.
