DESCRIPTION:Date\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVenue\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOrganiser\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n1 in 3 young women with heavy periods have an underlying bleeding disorder¹ – but it can take up to 16 years² to diagnose them. Why wait? \n\n\n\nJoin Australia’s leading haematology and Women’s Health specialists for an expert-led\, case-driven discussion to advance care in general practice. This session addresses the common presentation of HMB to explore the under-diagnosed spectrum of systemic bleeding disorders (like Von Willebrand Disease)³ and their link to iron deficiency. \n\n\n\nWalk away with a streamlined\, practical clinical framework you can use tomorrow to confidently identify\, investigate\, and manage these patients—ensuring high-standard continuous care\, regardless of geography. Don’t just manage the flow—master the cause with confidence. End the 16-year diagnostic delay for your patients. \n\n\n\nMenarini is pleased to invite you to our live recorded webinar medical education featuring Dr Anita Muñoz MBBS (Hons)\, FRACGP\, GradCertClinTeach\, MPH\, GAICD\, Dr Sara Ng – Haematologist\, Dr Danny Hsu – Haematologist . If you are a primary care physician\, or associated health care professional with an interest in women’s health and iron deficiency\, join us for this exciting event.

I provide surgical consultation and opinion\, clinical evaluation including ultrasound in the rooms and perform surgery. I am mindful of cosmetic outcomes and utilise plastic surgical techniques to maintain or improve breast shape \, termed oncoplasty. When mastectomy is required or desired\, it is often performed with an immeidiate breast reconstruction with plastic surgeon colleagues. \n\n\n\nI take time to explain what it means to have cancer and the implications\, often with the aid of drawings\, mapping out potential pathways\, avenues of care and important considerations. I tailor treatment plans to each individual’s needs and discuss in confidence patient care plans with the multi-disciplinary care team at Cabrini. \n\n\n\nI trained as a surgeon in Melbourne and regional Victoria and was awarded the Royal Australian College Dr Leslie prize for my clinical research. In 2002\, as a Fellow I undertook a further two years of specialist training at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Adelaide.I regularly meet with surgical colleagues to review clinical activities\, am a team member in multidisciplinary meetings\, and attend conferences and workshops to keep up to date with new discoveries and surgical techniques.

Gain an appreciation of the various approaches to management\, focusing on the surgical approaches \n\n\n\nIdentify key colorectal cancer risk factors to guide early detection in primary care. Apply screening recommendations for younger patients at increased risk of colorectal cancer. \n\n\n\nDevelop an evidence-based post-polypectomy surveillance plan by interpreting serrated and adenomatous pathology findings\, applying Cancer Council Australia/NHMRC colonoscopy surveillance guidelines\, and recognising the GP’s role in coordinating appropriate follow-up based on both histological and endoscopic risk factors. \n\n\n\nIdentify and implement key diet and lifestyle strategies to reduce adenoma recurrence risk following high-risk polyp detection.
