DESCRIPTION:Date\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVenue\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOrganiser\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin our experts as they discuss latest recommendations for COVID-19 vaccination in older patients. This practice-wide quality improvement exercise will enable you to identify potential barriers to vaccine uptake and check your performance against evidence-based benchmarks. \n\n\n\nThere are two pathways for this program\, one for GPs\, and one for Practice staff (including practice managers\, practice nurses and other relevant practice staff). Please ensure you select the right program for your position. \n\n\n\nThis education is designed to take place over multiple weeks. It does not need to be completed in one sitting. You can stop at any time\, and progress will be saved. You can find education you have started on your Dashboard. \n\n\n\nOn completion of this quality improvement program\, you will be able to:  \n\n\n\n\nUnderstand the current status of COVID-19 in Australia\, in particular its impact on older patients in primary care \n\n\n\nClarify the role of vaccination in preventing COVID-19-related morbidity and mortality in older patients \n\n\n\nReview current best practice recommendations for COVID-19 vaccination in patients aged 65 and older \n\n\n\nUsing a team-based approach\, decide on quality improvement targets and actions related to improving uptake of COVID-19 vaccines in older patients in primary care \n\n\n\nImplement and reflect on practice-wide quality improvement initiatives for increasing COVID-19 vaccine uptake

DESCRIPTION:Date\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVenue\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOrganiser\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWentWest invites GPs and Allied Health Professionals to complete the IAR-DST online training. \n\n\n\nJoin us for training in the Initial Assessment and Referral (IAR) Decision Support Tool (DST) for Mental Healthcare. \n\n\n\nThe National IAR Guidance and IAR-DST has been developed by the Australian Department of Health\, Disability and Ageing and is being rolled out nationally. \n\n\n\nLearning Outcomes:\n\n\n\n\nSummarise the principles underpinning the national approach to stepped care.\n\n\n\nSummarise the IAR development process.\n\n\n\nExplain the use of IAR Guidance in practice settings to generate a recommended level of care.\n\n\n\nList the levels of care in relation to available regional services\n\n\n\nIdentify the principles related to clinical decision making and consumer choice\n\n\n\n\nYou only need to complete one session regardless of the adaptation.
