DESCRIPTION:Date\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVenue\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOrganiser\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAttend the Mackenzie Quarters for this in-person workshop with dinner and drinks served on arrival. \n\n\n\nGeneral practitioners\, practice staff and Aboriginal healthcare workers play a vital role in promoting the importance of early detection of bowel cancer by encouraging and endorsing participation in the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program. \n\n\n\nThis practical workshop explores bowel cancer screening in people who are hesitant to screen. You will engage in case discussions to explore the barriers to screening and some of the enablers that you or a practice team can implement to encourage screening within your practice. \n\n\n\nLearning OutcomesAt the completion of this workshop\, you will be able to: \n\n\n\nOutcome 1: Identify practices that support engaging patients in the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program \n\n\n\nOutcome 2: Determine system improvements within practices to improve patient engagement with the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program \n\n\n\nOutcome 3: Identify and apply Practitioner and Practice Toolkit Resources that support mini-audit and/or plan\, do\, study\, act (PDSA) activities \n\n\n\nMore information.
