DESCRIPTION:Date\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVenue\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOrganiser\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWesley LifeForce Suicide Prevention Training for Supporting Young People \n\n\n\nWelcome to the Supporting Young People Suicide Prevention Full Day Workshop in Richmond\, VIC\, presented by Wesley LifeForce. \n\n\n\nJoin us on Thursday 10th April 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Richmond Library Meeting Room\, Cnr Swan Street and Bridge Road\, Richmond\, for essential skills training to recognise and respond to a young person experiencing mental health distress who may be at risk of suicide. \n\n\n\n\nAround 9 lives are lost by suicide every day in Australia\n\n\n\nOne in two young people are impacted by suicide by the time they turn 25\n\n\n\n\nWorkshop participants will increase confidence in their ability to: \n\n\n\n\nEncourage help seeking behaviour\n\n\n\nIdentify signs that a young person in distress may be at risk of suicide\n\n\n\nOffer support\, resources and a safe space for open discussion\n\n\n\nAsk if the young person is considering suicide
